All throw I feel like freight train(or M8 GTE) ran over me multiple times. Did 7 hours at my 1st job, had an hour break, then 8 at my second job. Job #2 is good the atmosphere is fantastic, once the live band got on stage it just flows. There is actual leadership in the kitchen. It was rather slow fo me (even tho they said it was busy for them). Overall it was a good first (official) shift.

Glad you’re surviving and doing well! Don’t work yourself too hard though!

I just started a new summer job as a waiter at a local tourist-y restaurant yesterday to compliment my teaching during the rest of the year....wasn’t the best first day. Made a lot of mistakes, I was the only waiter on shift and the ‘trainers’ that were around for me to get help and ask questions too weren’t even in the building half the time when I needed them...was not impressed.

They also changed my shift today out of the blue without asking me first from 8am-2:30pm to 5pm-10pm.....what if I had something planned? Not very nice...and it’s the busiest shift and I am barely know what I am doing....I damn well hope there is other wait staff on to help me until I get used to things or I am going to get slaughtered..... -_-

Oh, I already know how to hustle....different type of hustle I guess. I’ve worked at Tim Hortons on and off for years and I teach elementary kids, so, haha.
